Effective Articles

After reading several articles for class, I realize that the ones I find the most effective are the ones I can personally relate to.  This shows me that really knowing your audience is one of the most important things a writer can do.  My favorite article I read was "Violent Media is Good for Kids," by Gerard Jones.  While this sounds like a title we should all be against, he talks about how he felt like an outcast when he was younger and how comics such as The Hulk really helped him deal with his emotions.  Feelings of anger aren't necessarily a bad thing, but children should be taught how to deal with them.  It's when those feelings get so bottled up inside that the rage comes out in inappropriate ways.  So what do you think?  Is violent media, such as video games, cartoons, or movies always a bad thing?
